Carl D. Perkins Title I funds are used to develop and upgrade vocational education programs. The project resources help to improve the management information system that include records management data to measure student and program progress through user-friendly technology.

The program assists vocational students by providing and accessing student support services including academic counseling, tutoring, financial aid, referrals and external resource support services. The project works toward increasing and improving marketing, public relations and information services to the students, college, community and region, which increases access, participation, support and student retention/placement efforts.

The project also helps to increase and improve vocational education activities including individual direct contact with the employer, employers on advisory board, employer labor law training, and following up with student placement. Efforts to increase participation of non-traditional students in targeted programs of building vocational skills will be emphasized.
